Single family home in Punta Canide
Term of execution: 10 MonthsStatus of work: Finished
Detached house located in the spectacular enclave of Punta Canide, Mera (Oleiros), designed by Aestudio Arquitectura. The house has about 300 m2 built, distributed on two floors connected by a double height that houses a folded steel sheet ladder. On the ground floor, next to the garden, there are two bedrooms with bathrooms, a dressing room, a library, a multipurpose room, a laundry and a boiler room. On the first floor there are two other bedrooms with bathrooms and the living room-kitchen.
The facade has been made entirely of stone combined with aluminum carpentry in dark gray finish. It is a simple volume of stone and glass that opens completely to the sea through a large curtain wall. It has a motorized retractable awning in the same finish, which integrates perfectly into the volume. The gable roof is solved with a solution of prepainted black zinc sheet, covering the bottom of the eaves with solid iroko wood in natural lasur finish. Inside, the floor of the first floor has been executed with a multilayer wooden floor of oak finish, which combines perfectly with the interior carpentry lacquered in broken white.
The upstairs bathroom has been covered with microcement in concrete gray color, with built-in faucets and suspended sanitary parts. Noteworthstanding is the unique granite washbasin placed on a solid acacia suspended wood countertop, finished in oil, which highlights its natural color. Indirect lighting in most of the rooms, combined with spotlights on adjustable rails, gives the house a warm and cozy lighting. In the exterior grounds, clad concrete walls are combined with the stone panel of the facade and sleepers, which generate different spaces and form planters and gravel paths, which together with the areas of polished concrete in dark gray finish create a cozy environement.
