Innovation, design and sustainability arrive in Galicia thanks to Desarrolla

Desarrolla will carry out the construction of a house in Ortigueira ( A Coruña), together with the architectural studio “2es+”, to integrate it in nature with a completely sustainable and independent concept.

The house consists of a ground floor and an attic, which will have two levels, keeping the original stone walls and increasing its space with wooden structures and façades which can be seen in its partitions, linings and ceilings of the house.

The property will have a balcony towards the forrest which will lean out over the plot of land and will be connected by a corridor in the shape of an open pergola to which this pavilion made of a metallic structure and wooden roof will be connected. It will also have a great window to appreciate the views.

The house will be completely sustainable and independent thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels, geothermal heating through a heating pump, water supply with a dug well, and a three step septic tank, with active carbon filters, so that the sewage that will filter to the fields is completely clean.

The capacity of these panels will be of 11kw, which will allow the supply of electricity for  the house for two whole days at a 100% autonomously. These elements will be located 85 meters away from the house to be far enough so as not to affect the aesthetics and views of the landscape.
