The innovative refurbishment of Nemo´s corridor

Term of execution: 4 MonthsStatus of work: Finished

Global refurbishment of the Aquarium distribution area and total conditioning of the Nemo´s corridor. The design of the architect Jose Manuel López Mihura, aims to highlight an area that until now had a neutral treatment, a mere zone of passage and communication between different spaces of the museum.

The idea was to create a new and spectacular environment within the pre-existing limits, providing the museum with a versatile and flexible room with possibilities for growth.

The project demands great technical skills, which combines the bioformic architecture of stretched elastic sheets, with linoleum floors and false microperforated ceilings. Being able to reconcile the access of the visitors with the execution of the works, was one of the big challenges to undertake, which required methodical and daily planning.
