An example of design and avant-garde at the foot of the Mediterranean Sea

There is nothing more contemporary than being functional. Efficient. This is how the construction of the present and future is defined. A spirit that Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has transferred to a spectacular house it is building in the Catalan town of Gavá. A true example of design and avant-garde.

A spectacular luxury villa with a total built area of 1.476 square metres whose programme of requirements is a declaration of intent. It is modern, aesthetically imposing.

The project by José Jiménez-Casquet, of the Arquitektura studio, has conceived this example of design and avant-garde with great sensivity.

This has also been helped by its relationship with the StudioMvok team, the prestigious London studio responsible for the architectural concept and interior design.

The construction work being carried out by Desarrolla is progressing well. The project makes exemplar use of the views and the environment in which it is located. In fact, the house is located on Gava´s seafront promenade, at the foot of the Mediterranean.

The architects were keen to emphasise this idea when they formulated their plans

“The house is in close relationship with the garden within the plot. And also with the views of the beach and the sea from its main façade to the south, with wide openings towards this orientation”.

Conceived as a luxury villa, the project executed by Desarrolla Obras y Servicios satisfies all the needs of its future owners.

The 500 square metre basement floor houses a spectacular spa with and indoor swimming pool with all kind of services: toilets, changing rooms… it also has a charming cinema room.

Two cellars, storage rooms and a laundry room complete a programme of needs for this floor.

On the ground floor of the house, the idea of creating an example of design and avant-garde comes to the fore.

The spectacular entrance hall acts as a channeller towards different spaces in the house: dressing room, toilets, pet room, library, guest room…

But it is in the west gallery where aesthetics merge with efficiency to create a fascinating landscape.

Connected to the kitchen, a large room serves as an impressive dining and living area.

A space that Desarrolla has built at double height to further enhance the strenght of the visual. An idea reinforced with powerful windows that project towards the outdoor swimming pool of more than 40 square metres and the solarium area. An attractive play of light and shapes.

A floor for rest and relaxation

The first floor of the house is destined to become the sleeping area. A splendid master bedroom with dressing room and access to the covered terrace and three children’s bedrooms. Pure comfort.

A real luxury for the senses in which the visual connection has been reinforced by boosting the views toward the swimming pool and the outdoor spaces.

Finally, the second floor is based on a multifunctional premise.

The architects have designed a study area and another covered terrace on this floor, as well as a versatile multifunctional room that can be used as a living room or games room, gym,etc.

The use of state-of-the-art materials and designer furniture to conceive the interior design, and the care of the exterior spaces, contribute in this sense to generate an identity of its own. Distinctive.

In conclusion, an example of design and avant-garde at the foot of the Mediterranean.
