La terraza de Le Tavernier en Madrid es un ejercicio de diseño

A Galician restaurant and a stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the heart of Madrid where you can enjoy brunch, an aperitif with friends or a drink in the afternoon or evening. Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has just made Le Tavernier’s latest dream come true. A spectacular project on the ninth and tenth floors of Gran Vía 34, in Madrid, the same building where Zara is located.

The new hotel establishment, inaugurated a few days ago, has a Galician restaurant on the ninth floor and a snack area on the rooftop, whose attractive design will make it one of the most eye-catching in Madrid.

Desarrolla has taken on the execution of a project drawn up by the interior designer Iván Cotado. More than 900 square metres that combine interiors with an attractive use of the exterior spaces.

In addition to the roof terrace, the penultimate floor also has two large terraces. «It is a very ambitious project -explains Cotado- and we needed to be hundred percent focused on it».

The aesthetic will be similar to that of Le Tavernier’s premises in A Coruña, which will continue working as it has done to date.

The origin of Le Tavernier is found in the life of a sailor who settled in A Coruña after travelling around the world for years. Here he opened a place where he served liquors and drinks from all continents.

Antón Sáez, the company’s manager, says that «in Madrid the formula will be similar, but adapted to the public. We will also have a kitchen area, with snacks and tapas from all over the world. As it is an open-air rooftop, we want it to work all day long, so we are thinking of organising brunches».

Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has materialised a project defined as an “oasis in the middle of Madrid“. The work was completed at the beginning of April, allowing the owner to open the establishment in May, as planned.

Le Tavernier’s latest dream is now a reality.
