Together, Pepita de Oliva and Desarrolla, conquer the capital

Desarrolla has carried out an amazing complete refurbishment of a 300m2 house close to the Puerta de Alcalá, in the very centre of the city of Madrid.

The project has been carried out in cooperation with Pepita de Oliva’s studio, who put into operation a deep transformation of the lay-out and the finishes of the house, giving it a neoclassic style, combining the classical essence of the house with modern lines.
Each one to the rooms has a cross-sectional design with a unified visual guide that adapts to the specific needs of each room; thus, we see shades of grey, white, military green and wood throughout the house.
The wood carpentry is specially important in the property having changed all the flooring: the high doors highlight the slenderness of the house and the wooden pillars of the original structure of the building interrupt walls and moldings.
The finishes of the bathrooms in large “dekton” pieces with design fittings must be highlighted. In the same line, the kitchen also has the same modern style as the furniture, blending into the corridor through a glass and iron wall, which continues down the corridor towards the warm living room, where the cinema focus draws all the attention to the size of the “L” shaped sofa.
